Dr. Peter M Kolar was raised in Pittsville, Wisconsin, and graduated from Pittsville High School in 1990. After graduation, he attended the University of Wisconsin - LaCrosse, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Microbiology. Dr. Kolar later received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago in 1999.

Dr. Kolar returned to Central Wisconsin in 1999, and in 2000, he purchased Kolar Vision Center in Nekoosa and Pittsville Vision Center in Pittsville. He is board certified by the American Board of Optometry and is a member of the Wisconsin Optometric Association (WOA). Dr. Kolar's professional interests include the treatment and management of eye diseases, as well as emergency care for eye injuries and infections.
